The Joynest project was founded in 2015 by Wycliffe and his church to provide hope and care for vulnerable children in Kisumu, Kenya. This initiative was born out of faith and a desire to help children who had lost their families, primarily due to the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS. Many of the children, aged between 4 and 15 years, are themselves affected by the virus.
Wycliffe and his church recognized the urgent need for emotional, medical, and educational support for these orphans, who were left without family members to care for them. The project offers more than just basic necessities like food and shelter—it aims to foster a sense of belonging and security for children who have faced profound loss. With limited resources, the church community stepped in to provide love and guidance, creating an environment where the children could experience stability and hope for a better future.
